The amount and type of prep work that goes into a job are critical to achieving a high-quality paint job. We are meticulous - paying close attention to the little details, to ensure long lasting results. We treat every project as if it were our own house, and when we go home for the night, we maintain a clean job site.
Washing - We gently pressure-wash the exterior to remove the dust, dirt, mildew, and pollution from your home. This helps ensure a clean surface for the new paint to adhere to.
Scraping – We will hand scrape the sides of your home to remove all loose and peeling paint. Be wary of paint contractors who use abrasive means to remove the paint to save time. This can harm the underlying surface and prevent paint from adhering correctly.
Sanding – Paint ridges between bare wood and existing paint are sanded to ensure proper water runoff. Power sanding is not standard, and not available on homes with lead present.
Caulking - We use high quality, elastomeric caulking in nearly every application. Caulking is performed in any area where it is missing, loose, or cracked around window and door frames, butt joints, and splits. Hardiplank siding does not require caulking at mid-wall butt joints, as per installation instruction by James Hardie - At customer request, we can caulk these without warranty
Primer - We use a variety of primers to ensure a quality paint job. The primer coat ensures that you receive a uniform finish and that water stays outside your home, where it belongs.
We work closely with new home builders and general contractors alike to provide them with accurate estimates, constant communication, and top-notch quality control. In addition to new home construction, we have extensive experience with residential multi-family, apartment buildings, storage units, retail storefronts and offices. We have also painted banks, grocery stores, warehouses, parking garages and hotels.
As with with residential prep work, we are well-versed in the different types of prep work that's required for various types of commercial buildings in the north Georgia area.
We approach every paint job with the same level of meticulous prep work and attention to detail. We get the job done right the first time - and our paint job will last for many years to come.
We are very safety-focused - both on our on our workers and on those around our job site. A clean job site is a safe job site and our craftsman strive to maintain cleanliness and order to promote a safe working environment for all.
We strive to maintain consistency in everything we say and do. We back this up through constant and clear communication, whether you're a general contractor or new home builder. We also work well with other contractors and understand that we all have a role to play in the overall success of the project.

Window sill and frame rot is a common problem in wood windows. As water leaks in around the paint/caulk, heat from the sun warms creates a perfect environment for rot fungi. As the fungi spreads, it deteriorates the wood and can cause significant visual and structural damage to the window sash and frame.
Others use epoxy or hardened wood putties to patch the problem, this is just a short term fix to an internal wood rot problem. We prefer to remove unwanted wood rot and replace it with new wood for a lasting repair. We can remake a portion or all of the wooden sash, jamb or sill to replace just that portion instead of having to replace the entire window. Our goal is to save you money and earn your future business.
